What is jEditor?
JEditor is a simple Java text Editor with syntax highlighting which is designed to be
used in a library in other applications. A typical use case is an application which
needs to edit text files.
Why two distributions?
JEditor use the MIT-licensed code provided by the
jEdit syntax package. This code is a
no longer maintained very old version (2001) of a part of the
jEdit text editor.
